The Students

The ISCLR offers student grants to enable graduate students, post-doctoral students and clinical residents to attend the Twentieth Symposium. Grants cover the lowest economy return airfare and twin share accommodation for six nights (Saturday to Thursday).

The submitted abstract should contain original work not presented elsewhere.

Student Grants: Grants to support student attendance at the meeting are awarded based on competitive scientific abstract submission. Students with chosen abstracts will be expected to present a poster and to deliver a verbal presentation of their work in one of the meeting sessions. The student abstract form contains further details about grant applications and is attached.  If a student abstract is not successful, there is an option for it to be automatically submitted on behalf of a member if they are a co-author.  Please ensure we get the best student presentations by circulating the student form to people who you think might be appropriate. Student Grant applications and abstracts are due Friday March 4th, 2022.

The student abstract form containing further details about grant applications can be requested from the ISCLR secretary, Kathy Dumbleton.

Successful students will also be asked to provide administrative and audio visual support to the Secretariat at the meeting.

Student grants are intended for those who are actively involved in contact
lens or related areas of research.
