Meeting Information
The twenty-second ISCLR Scientific Symposium will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from Sunday August 18th to Friday August 23rd2024. This is a closed meeting with attendance limited to ISCLR members, Corporate Advisory Board member delegates, invited keynote speakers, and student travel grant awardees . Details regarding registration and hotel reservations will be made available to these individuals in late 2023 or early 2024.
The Meeting
President-Elect, Professor Darlene, is working with the program coordinators, moderators and keynote speakers to put together the program for the meeting. The format will be similar to previous symposia:
- Monday and Tuesday: Scientific meeting all day;
- Wednesday: Schedule clear for informal and special interest meetings as well as team building and networking opportunities;
- Thursday: Scientific meeting all day and Gala Dinner;
- Friday: Scientific meeting in the morning, concluding at around noon.
Scientific symposium schedule
There will be four tracks for the Scientific Symposium, each comprising of three sessions, the content is yet to be finalised:

Schedule
The meeting will start on Sunday and finish on Friday at 12:00pm. Depending on your role in the ISCLR, please arrive in time to attend the following events on the Sunday:
Executive meeting: 11.00 am (approximately 2 hours)
Student meeting: 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm
Council meeting: 3.30 pm – 4.30 pm
Moderator meeting: 4.30 pm – 5.00 pm
Welcome Reception (everyone): 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
Call for Abstracts
Member Abstracts: The call for abstracts will be made early 2024.
Student Grants: Student Grant applications and abstract submissions will be made early 2024.
Registration
Registration for the meeting will open early 2024.
Accommodation
Hotel accommodation can be made following registration and using the link provided in the email which will be sent to confirming registration.
Dress Code for the Meeting
The dress code for the meeting will be casual, including the Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening. The Gala Dinner will be held on the evening of the Thursday and the dress code is “cocktail”.
Accompanying Guests
Accompanying guests are welcome to attend the Welcome Reception (no charge) and the Gala Dinner Dinner (maximum one guest per registrant, a fee will be made for each guest, no charge for ISCLR registrants).
Internet
Internet will be included throughout the hotel, including the conference facilities.
